Workshops:
1. Mission Statement for Motherhood
In this workshop we will identify our core parenting values and craft a Mission Statement for Motherhood as a group. With these tools, participants will be able to write a personal Mission Statement for Motherhood that will last a lifetime. This is a very interactive workshop with group participation a central component. Every participant will receive a blank Mission Statement for Motherhood that they can use as a template for writing her own. Leta has had great success with this workshop and references are available upon request.
2. D-I-A-P-E-R for Life Strategy
This workshop is much more focused on Leta as speaker only. In it, she takes participants through 6 steps that they can practice to go from crazy to calm in any situation. It is a fun and highly effective way to present key concepts for maintaining inner peace during challenging parenting situations. Again, references are available upon request.
3. 6 Lessons We Can Learn from Our Children
This workshop takes participants through 6 lessons about fulfillment our children teach us. It is extremely thought provoking and a favorite of Leta’s to teach. Through relating to our children, Leta opens a door for parents to value the sometimes frustrating antics of our children in completely new ways. This is one of Leta’s most popular workshops. References available upon request.
4. 5 Myths We Buy Into
This workshop looks at 5 common assumptions about parenting and turns them around to see that in the long term they are not necessarily correct. It is one of Leta’s more controversial workshops in that it asks participants to question their beliefs and let go of ones that are not serving the best interests of themselves or their children. It is not for the group looking more to be entertained than enriched. Reference available upon request.
5. Selfless Parenting
Like 5 Myths, this workshop is more on the side of challenging core beliefs than spending an hour in lighthearted parenting discussion. Leta takes participants through 6 examples of selfless parenting and why it is a parenting philosophy worth consideration. The feedback on this workshop has been extremely positive. It is not about a mother doing more, but instead about a mother understanding what selflessness truly means and learning how to engage with her children in mutually affirming ways. Reference available upon request.
6. Cultivating Peace and Gratitude as Parents of Under 5s
Leta takes participants through suggestions for bringing a greater appreciation for peace and gratitude into the home, especially when dealing with the particular challenges of children aged 5 and under. This is a very intense time for parenting and these tips are easy to incorporate into the busy and chaotic environment of the young family – or any family for that matter. It is a fun workshop full of valuable gems. It is the kind of workshop you want to stick on your fridge and share with your partner. Reference available upon request.
7. Resilience
This workshop is all about resilience. It is a step by step process for returning to a place of peace after a traumatic or challenging event. It is very specific in its approach and differs from D-I-A-P-E-R for Life, which is much more general. This is a workshop for groups ready to learn about concrete ways they can bounce back from parenting challenges quickly and with a resilience that will be noticed by friends and family. Reference available upon request.
